In addition to mentoring Sammy Guevara and The Von Erichs during their wrestling careers, ROH World Tag Team Champion and Six-Man Tag Team Champion Dustin Rhodes also assists backstage with the AEW women's division. Fightful Select claims that Rhodes and AEW are still negotiating after his contract with AEW and ROH ended in September. Rhodes hasn't competed since September 25, so it's probable that he hasn't been active throughout the discussions. According to Fightful, Dustin's busiest year in the ring since 2018 was 2024.

AEW still has Dustin Rhodes, kind of. “The Natural” has not formally left All Elite Wrestling or Ring of Honor, even though his contract is said to expire at the end of September or the beginning of October. Rhodes is still considered a champion even if he hasn't competed since his contract cancelled. Rhodes is presently the Six Man Tag Team and ROH Tag Team Champion, which adds intrigue to this contract scenario. Fans are curious about the implications for Rhodes' future in AEW and ROH as well as the belts.

With more fights this year than any other since 2020, Rhodes, who had a stellar year in 2024, is on track to have his busiest year in the ring since 2018. However, his influence in AEW goes beyond the ring; he has also served as a mentor, particularly in the women's division, offering direction and encouragement to the organization's expanding pool of female athletes. He is an important character in AEW because of his accomplishments both inside and outside the ring.

Dustin Rhodes future is uncertain

When Rhodes first joined AEW, he thought his bout at the first Double or Nothing would be his last. However, five years later, he is a double champion with Sammy Guevara, Ross, and Marshall Von Erich. In addition to his school, Rhodes also manages the Rhodes Wrestling Association, a stand-alone organization that provides a platform for his pupils. The future is uncertain as the discussions continue. Could Rhodes be leaving on or will he sign a new contract with AEW? Fans are eagerly anticipating the next development, but only time will tell.
