On the AEW roster, Darby Allin is undoubtedly the biggest daredevil. He does moves and stunts that would make most people shaken. He seems to be going all out now with his risk-taking lifestyle. Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp reported that Allin will take a months-long break from AEW to conquer Mount Everest.
"Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed that Darby Allin has been off the road of late and hasn't been at AEW TV," the company stated. "We're told that Allin has started his training for Mt. Everest, and isn't expected back for months." Due to injuries, Darby Allin's plans to climb Mount Everest have been postponed several times since the start of 2024.
Allin broke his foot in three places during a match against Jay White in March, which caused the initial delay. Allin was struck by a bus in New York City a few months later, which further postponed the journey. Afterwards, legendary professional wrestler Sting failed to dissuade Allin from going up. Allin's ultimate objective is to make it to the summit of Mount Everest and plant an AEW flag there.
Mount Everest, which is a portion of the Himalayan mountain range that divides Tibet and Nepal, is the highest point on Earth above sea level. Altitude sickness, frostbite, and hypothermia are among the many reasons why it is considered one of the most challenging and hazardous mountains to climb.
Darby Allin won AEW World Tag Team Championship with Sting
"A group from Discovery got in touch with me. We would record the entire event. It's not like homie disappearing into the mountains; rather, it's a chance for me to give back to the firm. I want to return the crazy, but there is a method to it," he said.
Along with AEW, Sammy Guevara, and Jack Perry, Allin is regarded as one of the four pillars of AEW. He and Sting have won the AEW World Tag Team Championship and the AEW TNT Championship twice.
