Manpreet Singh and Vinay got emotional as the Haryana Steelers won their maiden Pro Kabaddi League in the 11th edition after beating the Patna Pirates 32-23 in the final at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune. It was Manpreet's first title as a coach after failing to win on three other occasions with different teams.

As the last raid of the Steelers approached and Haryana had a massive lead of 9 points, everyone knew who would win. Jaideep went for the last raid and wasted time. Vinay had tears in his eyes as he sensed the win. The focus went on the coach, who got equally emotional. Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh had a smile after winning back-to-back PKL titles.

Haryana Steelers dominate Patna Pirates in the PKL 11 Final

The Steelers had a heartbreak in the previous season as they lost to Puneri Paltan in the final. This time around, they left no stone unturned and became the deserving champions. The Steelers bagged a prize of INR 3 crores after winning the title. The runner-up Patna Pirates were awarded INR 1.8 crores.

The defence unit led by Jaideep and Rahul Sethpal was rock solid, as they did not give anything to the raiders. While Sudhakar and Gurdeep brought Patna back into the game, Ayan and Devank equalised by giving advantage to the Steelers. At the end of the halftime, Haryana had a lead of 15-12.

The second half was on the slower side as neither team attempted for as many points. Shadloui, Ayan, and Devank silently got the job done for the Steelers. After gaining a huge lead, Haryana did nothing but wasted time. They gave no chance for the Pirates to be in the game and maintained the lead for the rest of the game.
