Virat Kohli showed up in the Kabaddi arena ahead of the Mumbai leg of the PKL 7. He sang the national anthem to kickstart the match between U Mumba and Puneri Paltan. The star player revealed how the Pro Kabaddi League had changed the lives of the athletes. He regarded the Indian team to be one of the best in the world.

Virat sang the national anthem before the start of the match between U Mumba and Puneri Paltan. The star player then interacted with some of the players and wished them luck. The Indian star player spoke to the hosts who asked him about stuff he knew about Kabaddi. The star player impressed the fans with his knowledge of the sport.

He claimed that PKL had played a big role in Kabaddi becoming one of the biggest sports in the country. The former Indian skipper felt it was a different feeling for him to see Kabaddi gain a great status having played it in his childhood. He was proud to say that the Indian team was one of the best Kabaddi teams in the world.

"Kabaddi has taken a leap in the sports culture in our country since the inception of the Pro Kabaddi League. Seeing a sport that we all have played as kids get to this stature today gives a different feeling altogether, especially when you know that the Indian Kabaddi team is one of the best ones in the world," said Virat.

The 36-year-old felt that the best players from all parts of the world wanted to take part in the PKL which he inferred to be an escalation in the popularity of the sport on an exponential level. Virat Kohli praised the fitness and determination of the Indian Kabaddi stars.

"Then seeing how players from all over the globe come to India to be a part of the PKL shows that the level of the sport has been escalated exponentially. The reason kabaddi has become a world-recognized sport is due to the fitness and determination of Indian Kabaddi players," Kohli added.
