Stephen Curry is one of the greatest players in history that basketball has ever produced. With Golen State Warriors Stephen Curry has won four NBA titles, two MVP awards, a Finals MVP and has been in 10 All-NBA teams. In the Paris Olympics 2024 for the first time, Stephen Curry is representing his national team USA in the Olympics. The only medal from his trophy cabinet missing is the Olympic gold and this is a chance for him to win the gold medal in the upcoming Olympics.
The last time Stephen Curry represented the USA was during the FIBA U19 Basketball World 2007. During the tournament, USA won eight games including Spain in the quarterfinals and France in the semifinals. He lost the title to Serbia but enjoyed his time with USA basketball team. As per Give Me Sports, Stephen Curry said, "They beat us. But I had a great time with guys I played in the NBA - Patrick Beverley, Johnny Flynn, Michael Beasley, DeAndre Jordan and many others with whom I'm still in contact. And we still talk about this experience."
In 2008 he missed out on the USA basketball team that won the gold medal. During that time, he was playing at the college level at Davidson and his average was of 25.9. In 2010 he was named in the World Cup squad but didn’t play any game as Kevin Durant had an average of 22.8 per points throughout the tournament.
Due to an ankle injury in 2012, he missed out again Olympics for USA team and he played only 23 NBA games for the Golden State Warriors. He returned to the 2014 World Cup, scoring 10.7 points per game as a key member of a 9-0 USA squad. He elected not to compete in the 2016 Olympics, coming off his second consecutive NBA MVP award, and the same happened in the 2020 Olympics games in Tokyo.

But in the 2024 Paris Olympics, Stephen Curry is added to the USA team for the Olympics and he has a chance to win a gold medal for this country. The USA team that will be playing have many star players like Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum, LeBron James etc. Steve Kerr is head of the Team USA and he has played an important role in adding Stephen Curry's name in the Olympics team. Meanwhile, this is for the first time both NBA legends LeBron James and Stephen Curry are playing for USA.
USA will start their Olympics campaign against Serbia. They will face NBA MVP winner Nikola Jokic on the 28th July.
