WATCH: Thierry Henry showing off his moves to celebrate their win against Egypt in Paris Olympics

For the first time in 40 years, France is going to the Men’s football Olympic finals. In Monday’s semi-final match in Lyon stadium against Egypt, France won by 3-1 in the extra stadium. During the game for the first time, France led the goal in their post as Mahmoud Saber of Egypt scored a goal to put them on the score sheet. Later Jean-Philippe Mateta scored a goal to level the game as the game went into extra time. 

During the extra time, the match turned again as Omar Fayed got a yellow card for the second time and had to leave the game as Egypt were down to 10 men. After that Mateta scored a header and Olise scored another goal as France booked their spot in the Paris Olympics 2024 finals. 

In less than a year Thierry Henry was named as manager of France's team that will be going to the Olympics 2024 finals. As the match was dramatic this win was enjoyed in France's dressing room as well. Rayan Cherki who came in the game for few minutes before the extra time posted a video of Thierry Henry dancing in front of the team. The video was posted on his Instagram account along with the caption, "Paris, we're coming."

"I'm living a dream, I don't want to wake up," commented Thierry Henry on Monday evening. "I'll be honest with you, what's nice is for Team France because when you see everyone taking medals here and there, you tell yourself it's up to us not to let the guys down," according to RMC Sports Thierry Henry commented after the win.

Epic final clash between top two European nations 

The final will take place on Friday at Parc des Princes against Spain. Earlier on that day, Spain defeated Morocco to reach the final. Spain made a comeback from behind as Morocco scored an earlier goal. For Spain, Juanlu Sanchez and Fermin Lopez scored goals as Spain won the game by 2-1. For the second consecutive time, Spain reached the Olympic final.  Meanwhile, Egypt will take on Morocco for the bronze medal match. The final match will start at 6 p.m. Spain will aim to win the gold medal as they have won the UEFA Nations League and UEFA Euro 2024 title.
