WATCH: Armand Duplantis break his own World record as he retains his Olympic Gold in Paris

The Olympics is one of the biggest sporting events on which all eyes are set on. Several great matches are scheduled every day which is exciting to witness and be a part of. Several legendary players have participated in the event and have raised the standard of the encounters. 

One of the athletes who has stolen the limelight is none other than Armand Duplantis. The Swedish pole vaulter created history when he won the Gold medal in Tokyo by creating a World record for his nation. There were a lot of high hopes going into this event as well. This season has been equally brilliant for Duplantis as he has already won two gold medals in the World Indoor Championships and the European championship. Overall there is no doubt that he was a favorite in the pole vaulting event yet again in Paris.

Armand breaks his own record

Armand had stolen the spot once again and there was no doubt that he was one of the favourites to win the medal. There were still questions as to whether he had a better record from last time and he did it with style. Not only did Duplantis win another Olympic Gold Medal, but he also went on to break his world record by one centimetre. This was another great performance from the Swede as he won back-to-back Olympic Golds and entered the record books. There is no doubt this was another great performance and we could see the excitement in his celebrations as well.

Duplantis has done it in style and we all are happy that he has once again achieved glory in one of the biggest sporting events in the world. This is a great day not only for the athlete but the Swedish national team as well who have won another Gold medal all thanks to Duplantis for his absolutely incredible performance once again.
