Xavi Simons has been a promising young talent in football. The Dutch midfielder has shown his flair in the Bundesliga for RB Leipzig. He has been currently participating in the UEFA Euro 2024 for the Oranje and was amazing in the game against France. In the dying minutes of the game, he scored a goal but it was disallowed because his teammate Denzel Dumfries obstructed Maignan from getting to the shot while being in an offside position.

The attacking midfielder in the middle of the major tournament has given a verdict over his possible future at Paris Saint-Germain. According to a recent L'Equipe story, Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Manchester City have all contacted PSG to discuss the potential of signing Simons.

Bayern Munich and his current loanee club Leipzig have been ahead in the race to sign the footballer for the upcoming season. Munich is ready to propose a loan bid with an obligation clause that includes a transfer cost between €60 million and €70 million. The Red Bulls have been keen on keeping the footballer as he has been impressive in the 43 appearances he made for the side scoring 10 goals and registering 15 assists.

Will PSG let go of Simons permanently?

If the 21-year-old footballer leaves PSG on a permanent transfer this summer, a massive part of the transfer fee will go straight to PSV Eindhoven where he played in the 2022-23 season, because of that the French club prefers to loan him out for a year before selling him for the next season.

He expressed satisfaction with his time at PSG and Leipzig but remained non-committal about his next move. He said, "I was happy in Paris. I was in Leipzig this year, we’ll see after the Euro. I also see that the supporters always wish me the best, and that’s good." Luis Enrique admires Simons, but cannot guarantee him regular playing time in the future season. Given the uncertainties, PSG supposedly believes that a loan move would be a reasonable solution for all parties.
