Arsenal have been in exceptional form in the ongoing season. They have been flying in the English Premier League (EPL) scoring the most number of goals and have also conceded the least in the toughest league of the world. The Gunners are currently at the top of the table with 71 points with one game more played than the other title race contenders. Mikel Arteta's side will be next up at the UEFA Champions League (UCL) quarter-finals facing Bayern Munich.
The Bavarians whose form in the current season has been poor. As Thomas Tuchel side is out of the Bundesliga title race after their loss against 1. However they do not have a strong record and when the last time these two met in the UCL, Tuchel side won 10-2 on aggregate, in the 12 games Bayern has won 7 and Arsenal has won 3 and two matches have ended in a draw. The Gunners might dream of beating as they are looking a bit incosistent this season.
Arsenal favourites against Bayern
Arteta's side have been dangerous as they have scored tthe most goals in the PL this season with 75 and conceded the least with 24 goals. Opponents have found it difficult to break their defensive wall of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, the two centre backs have been sensational as they are have conceded just 4 goals since the beginning of 2024. They are on 11 match winning streak in the current year.
They will love to change the records and fortunes to take a step ahead to qualify for the semi-final of UCL. Bayern will be missing some of their key players who have been out injured. Despite the form Bayern will come out with winning mentality and try to keep their poor performance aside.
