When England plays Spain on Sunday at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, one team is anticipated to have far more support. Both the Three Lions and their supporters are hard at work getting ready for the Euro 2024 championship.

With a 90th-minute winner against Holland, super substitute Ollie Watkins secured a position for Gareth Southgate's team in the final match of the tournament. England trailed the Netherlands early on, but Harry Kane's contentious equalizer allowed them to catch up. Then came Watkins' late goal, which could be the greatest in English sports history since 1966.

Now, Gareth Southgate and his team are aiming to surpass that by winning the trophy and breaking their 58-year wait for success at a significant competition.

Almost 50,000 fans could be cheering for England in the 71,000-seat Olympiastadion. There is a rush among supporters to get tickets for the match against Spain, and preliminary reports indicate that the Three Lions supporters may outnumber those of their opponents two to one.

Official allocations of 10,000 each have been made to the Royal Spanish Football Federation and the FA for the championship match. Numerous local German fans also purchased tickets from the remaining supply. As anticipated, there has been a significant surge in early interest from England supporters on ticket resale websites, with their numbers much exceeding those of other nations. Even those who are able to find a seat may face significant difficulties traveling to the game.

Rise in prices of travel from England to Germany

Most ferry crossings over the Channel are additionally sold out, as have all the direct flights from Britain to Berlin. Google searches for flights to Berlin have reportedly spiked by more than 250 percent following the victory against Holland. However, a startling 21 Ryanair flights to Berlin from UK airports were completely booked from yesterday through Sunday.

Additionally, all 21 EasyJet flights from Birmingham, Bristol, Luton, and Gatwick to Berlin were fully booked between now and the game. The last pricing for the EasyJet flights departing Gatwick for Berlin over the next days was an astounding £918.
