Isco has expressed regret to Real Madrid fans regarding his celebration following Real Betis’ 2-1 La Liga victory over Madrid on Saturday evening.
Despite the early lead taken by Real Madrid, thanks to Brahim Diaz's goal just ten minutes into the match, Betis showcased their resilience by coming from behind to secure the win at Estadio Benito Villamarin, denting Los Blancos’ title aspirations. Isco played an important role in Betis’ comeback by scoring a penalty in the 54th minute.

Isco apologized for his 'celebration'
The former Spain midfielder, who enjoyed a successful nine-year tenure at the Bernabeu with three La Liga titles and five Champions League victories, provided an excellent corner that led to Johnny Cardoso scoring an equaliser just before half-time.
In the second half, Betis captain Isco converted a penalty in the 54th minute following a foul by Antonio Rudiger on Jesus Rodriguez and celebrated his strike in front of the home crowd.
Isco celebrated with his teammates before knee-sliding in front of the Real Betis fans. Although his actions weren't excessively provocative, Isco, who shared a strong embrace with Carlo Ancelotti after the match, felt it was necessary to apologize for his celebration.
"I apologise to Real Madrid fans for my celebration. I am very grateful to Real Madrid, they will always be in my heart," Isco said. The result puts Real Madrid at third position in the Laliga table with 54 points, the same as Barcelona who are at second position due to better goal difference. Real Betis ascended to the sixth spot and will be eyeing a Champions League spot in the coming weeks.
