Who is Omari Kellyman? Taking look at Chelsea’s new signing from Aston Villa

Omari Kelly's transfer from Aston Villa to Chelsea has been agreed upon under a £19 million agreement; medicals will come next. Fabrizio Romano claims that Chelsea and Aston Villa have reached an agreement to sell Omari Kellyman for £19 million. The young striker, who is eager to move to Stamford Bridge, will now undergo medical testing by the Blues.

Omari Kellyman, a teenage player for Aston Villa, was a target for Chelsea, and the two sides have now reached an agreement. In the following stage, the 19-year-old forward will proceed with his medicals, with the Blues expected to pay an estimated £19 million price. 

Chelsea supporters were rather surprised by the deal as they were, to be fair, unaware of Kellyman prior to the 19-year-old attacker's connection to Chelsea. But as they have been doing several times since their new owners came over, the club intends to purchase the best young players available and assemble a squad for the future. 

Kellyman's 58 senior minutes across all competitions for Aston Villa this past season has sparked concerns about Chelsea's willingness to pay the £19 million asking price. The Blues are aware of the teenager's potential and genuinely feel he tends to enjoy a wonderful career. 

Chelsea set to sign more players from Aston Villa

Even with Kellyman's acquisition, Chelsea is still looking for additional young strikers, so their striker chapter is far from over. Despite the agreement for the 19-year-old attacker, Jhon Duran of Aston Villa is still a goal; they are eager to sign the Colombian as well. Ian Maatsen might also be on his way to Aston Villa in what is said to be a massive signing for the Villains.

All things considered, it seems Chelsea is not going to give up on finding young forwards, and they might even wind up purchasing one of the aforementioned. Kellyman may not be able to start for the first team in the upcoming campaign as the team may send him away on loan, most likely to Strasbourg, a sister club.
