Chelsea withdrew from the competition to recruit Michael Olise, and he has now decided to sign with Bayern Munich, according to talkSPORT. The Blues and Crystal Palace had been negotiating a transfer for the winger.

But Olise has now decided to sign with the Bundesliga team, and a contract is anticipated to be finalised. The winger may leave Selhurst Park for a cost of £60 million due to a release clause within his contract. Marc Guehi, Olise, as well as Eberechi Eze are the three players who Palace will not sell for a price under £60 million. Since the price was deemed unaffordable, Enzo Maresca's side chose to back out of the transfer.

Chelsea intends to find additional attacking options in addition to rewarding their current players. The West London team is reportedly hoping to bolster their attack with two new additions this summer and is optimistic that a replacement for Olise will be signed. According to reports, they are also in negotiations with Aston Villa to sign Jhon Duran, a 20-year-old striker from Colombia.

Although Olise was additionally linked to Manchester United, it seemed doubtful that the club would pay the player's £60 million price tag. Before signing with Manchester City, Olise attended the Blues academy between 2009 to 2016. It was not until a year later, following a move to Reading, that he made his professional debut, lighting up the EFL Championship.

Bayern Munich look to sign Michael Olise in the upcoming days

While the Frenchman is gone at the Olympics with his country, his representatives will probably work out a deal with the Bavarian club. If everything goes according to plan, he will play with Jamal Musiala as well as Harry Kane at the Allianz Arena during the upcoming season.

To put an end to rumours about the 22-year-old France international's future this summer, Bayern is now anticipated to reach an agreement with Palace. The German team had made contact with Palace, according to The Athletic, and Chelsea had been given permission to meet with Olise before determining the financial commitment was too great and opting not to move forward.
