At Stamford Bridge, fallen giants Chelsea FC hosted sixth place Manchester United in a must-win clash for both teams. A win for the away team would make sure that they are still in the fight to achieve Champions League football for next season. For Chelsea, a win can do wonders for their confidence after a disappointing draw in the previous game against 10-men Burnley.
Manchester United started the proceedings on the right foot as they were on the attack from the get go. They were hoping to get the goal that set them off in this clash, however, it was the home side who opened the scoring. Malo Gusto’s deflected pass found Connor Gallagher and he made sure to slot it in the back of the net. Andre Onana may be blamed for the goal as he could have made the final save and stop the goal.
The away side wanted to get back into the game and were on the attack after the goal. However, to their dismay, Antony conceded a penalty after a soft foul on Marc Cucurella. Cole Palmer tucked the penalty away to give their side a 2-0 lead after just 20 minutes.
It was Chelsea domination for the next fifteen minutes before a Moises Caicedo mistake helped the side grab an important goal for the away side. Alejandro Garnacho was key in putting away the opening goal for his side as he was under pressure as well.
That gave the team the much needed confidence that they needed and helped them get the equaliser. Diogo Dalot’s brilliant cross found the perfect header from skipper Bruno Fernandes as the match got really exciting within the first forty minutes.
Taking look at the second half proceedings between Manchester United and Chelsea FC
The second half began just like the first half ended as both teams were on the attack. It was an end-to-end game with both the sides hoping for a win in this encounter. United found a way to get the fifth goal of the game and their team’s third goal in the 67th minute.
Antony’s brilliant pass using the outside of his foot was met well by the head of Garnacho who slotted the ball home. Chelsea put their foot on the gas and gave their everything in the attack in the final twenty minutes of the game. But a crucial penalty call in the 97th minute got them the equaliser and then Cole Palmer put away another goal to give his side the victory from the jaws of defeat.

I really wanna know why it’s taking so long for Chelsea to get rid of Pochettino, Badiashile, Cucurella, Jackson, Caicedo and others?

Manchester United have lost 12 league games for the first time ever. Maybe Ronaldo was right. Something got to change at the club.

Dissolve Manchester United at the end of the season and start afresh from Conference Division. Sack Erik ten Hag tomorrow morning too.
