Two legends of the football game, Wesley Sneijder and Alessandro Del Piero were seen having a wholesome moment during a charity match. Del Piero amusingly slapped Sneijder on his hand and the Dutchman didn’t resist and poked the Italian on his face. To make the situation amusing, Del Piero fell to the ground and the crowd had a huge laugh. After this duo got together and shared a hug which surely showed mutual respect towards one another.

Wesley Sneijder, the Netherlands' most capped player, announced his retirement from football in 2019, after a trophy-laden 17-year career. Following his graduation from Ajax's academy in 2002, the playmaker enjoyed successful periods with the likes of Real Madrid, Inter Milan, and Galatasaray.

His last team was Al Gharafa who compete in Qatar's top league. For his country, he was a World Cup finalist in 2010 but lost to Spain, followed by a fourth-place finish to Argentina just four years later. He retired from international football in 2018. Meanwhile, Alessandro Del Piero retired in 2014 and was a World Cup winner with his nation in 2006.

Wesley Sneijder backs Ronald Koeman and Georginio Wijnaldum

As revealed by VI, former Netherlands player Wesley Sneijder praised the choice of manager Ronald Koeman for bringing Georginio Wijnaldum to Germany to participate in the Euros. Wijnaldum, aged 33, left PSG to sign for Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq.

This season, he played 31 games, netting seven goals and assisting seven times. The Rotterdam-born midfielder has also made 91 appearances for the Dutch senior side since his debut at the young age of 20 in 2011. He was a mainstay for the team at the last Euros, when Oranje were eliminated during the Round of 16 by the Czech Republic. Many people are wanting Koeman to choose Atalanta's Dutch playmaker Teun Koopmeiners rather. The UEFA Europa League-winning midfielder was in excellent form for the Italian outfit this past season, scoring 12 goals in the league.
