Tottenham Hotspur set to sign Inter Milan superstar (Source- Twitter)
Tottenham Hotspur had a decent season in the English Premier League. Despite starting well in the 2023/24 season they could not hold back their consistent form of winning games and ending up in the fifth position and qualified for the UEFA Europa League for the upcoming season. The North London side failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League after losing to Manchester City at the business end of the league.
Ahead of the next season, there will be some changes in the squad. Fullback Emerson Royal who was signed from FC Barcelona, might be making his way out of the club and join the Italian champions side Inter Milan for the upcoming season. As per various reports, Spurs are planning to use him in a player-plus-cash offer. As per the latest talks the EPL club has been following Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi and is interested in making a move for him.
The 24-year-old midfielder has been quite impressive in the Nerazzuri's impressive winning run for the season. The Italian footballer appeared in 32 league games, the majority of which came as a substitute. He scored six goals and assisted four. In 7 Champions League appearances for the Italians, he also scored once and assisted thrice for the club.
Spurs going all out for Inter's midfielder
The amazing performance of his has been tracked by several clubs, with Tottenham leading the race to sign the footballer in the upcoming transfer window. In the recent weeks, the North London club will be offering a player-plus-cash offer worth €30m for the midfielder and include Emerson in the deal as well. Previously Inter showed interest in the Brazilian right back and this might be one opportunity for the club to secure the swap deal.
Ange Postecoglou also wants the footballer to be out of his team as he does not fit in well with his playing tactics. But Spurs needs to beat AS Roma and Atletico Madrid to sign the talented midfielder from Italy. The deal will get interesting if the transfer window is still open.
