Bosnia and the Netherlands played a UEFA Nations League match on Saturday night at the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven. Goals by Zirkzee,Wout Weghorst, Tijani Reijnders, Cody Gakpo and Xavi Simons helped Ronald Koeman's team win 5-2. The visitors' scorers on the night were Edin Dzeko and Ermedin Demirovic.

When video captured inside the tunnel prior to kickoff surfaced a few days after the game, supporters were keen to draw attention to what transpired between Van Dijk as well as Zirkzee. The Liverpool player said hello to teammates Nathan Ake, Bart Verbruggen, and Denzel Dumfries as he left.

Fans then noticed that Van Dijk seemed to stroll right by Zirkzee and then shake hands with Jerdy Schouten. Additionally, there was no communication amongst Van Dijk as well as Xavi Simons in the video. Van Dijk might have hugged Simons and Zirkzee beforehand before leaving the locker room, though.

The former Southampton defender said, “I want to play another World Cup. I know I am still more than good enough. I am the captain of Liverpool, a consistent factor and I feel excellent physically while I am improving on the ball too.”
