Fans of Germany and England fought in the streets following the host country's elimination from Euro 2024 versus Spain. Germany and England supporters battled in the streets after the host country's exit from UEFA Euro 2024 on Friday night. Germany's thrilling 2-1 loss to Spain in Stuttgart came only one day before England's matchup with Switzerland in Dusseldorf to seal a semi-final position.

Dani Olmo, who replaced wounded Pedri after only eight minutes, calmly gave the Spanish a 1-0 lead early in the second half with a low shot from Lamine Yamal's cutter. With a last-minute equalizer, Florian Wirtz, another substitute, kept Germany alive by smashing Joshua Kimmich's header towards goal past Unai Simon.

However, Olmo made another significant contribution during extra time, even though it appeared like the hosts would win. At the MHP Arena, the 26-year-old's lovely cross from the left side picked Mikel Merino, who scored an incredible header in the 119th minute to send Germany packing.

Ahead of their match against Switzerland on Saturday, England supporters will have remained hydrated and in high spirits due to the delicious exhibition. However, after full time, supporters were seen fighting and making fun of German fans in a video that was released by the Mail. A few German fans were seen on camera making gestures toward a larger gathering of English supporters while they heard cries of, "They're going home, they're going home, they're going, Germans going home."

“We conceded the winner with the last chance” : Julian Nagelsmann

Julian Nagelsmann has disclosed to his team what he spoke to them following Spain's thrilling quarterfinal elimination of Germany from UEFA Euro 2024. He said, ‘Congratulations to Spain for reaching the semi-finals. ‘The game was too open in the first half. We were better in the second half and from the 60th minute onwards, we were clearly the better team.

When questioned about what he told the players in the locker room, he added, “Our late [equaliser] was well-deserved. We conceded the winner with the last chance. Unfortunately we weren’t able to apply enough pressure on the wing. I told them that they don’t deserve [to exit the competition].”
