Recently, Indian cricket star Sanju Samson expressed his preference for one of these legends in a video shared on social media.

Sanju Samson picked his 'GOAT'

In a recent video that has surfaced on social media, the Indian wicketkeeper was asked to choose his favourite between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Sanju asserted that he would always choose Messi from the bottom of his heart.

"There's nothing to be afraid to share what's in your heart. I love Lionel Messi" Sanju said.

Sanju Samson is currently making good progress in his recovery from a finger injury sustained during the fifth T20I against England in Mumbai earlier this month. He was struck by a delivery from English pacer Jofra Archer on just the third ball of the match. 

Following the injury, Samson successfully underwent surgery and is now focused on rehabilitation to regain his match fitness. He is determined to be ready for the upcoming season and will pad up as captain for the Rajasthan Royals franchise.

On Saturday, Lionel Messi made history within just the first few minutes of the 2025 MLS season by becoming the fastest player to achieve 40-goal contributions in the league. This marks Messi's third season with Inter Miami and his second full campaign in MLS. In 2024, despite appearing in only 19 matches, he netted 20 goals and 16 assists. Remarkably, he also set the record as the fastest player to reach 25 goal contributions in a single season last year.
