Real Madrid squad bus appears to have been involved in an accident the day following Real Madrid's loss to Liverpool at Anfield. Cody Gakpo and Alexis Mac Allister's goals preserved the Reds' perfect record in Europe this season intact despite Carlo Ancelotti's squad losing to Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield on Wednesday night in the Champions League.
Liverpool comfortably trounced the reigning European champions, who were unable to mount a challenge against Arne Slot's squad, despite the season's opening draw suggesting that the match would be exciting. And even after the loss at Anfield, it seems like Real Madrid is still having problems as their squad bus collided with a truck on the M40 highway.

The team's uniform was in the bus, but there were no players or staff inside at the time. It would still be necessary to drive the bus back to Madrid along the M40, the typical route from the North West to the coast, even though teams often take flights home right after a European match.
Real Madrid looking to get back on track
But after their lackluster performance at Anfield, Real Madrid now has still another burden to cope with. The playing team and personnel most likely took a plane back to Spain, and the bus traveled separately. They have suffered significant injuries in recent weeks, losing Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior, and if they don't get their act together for the next three games, they run a real chance of losing the Champions League. Ahead of the hectic Christmas season, the squad and their bus are in dire need of repairs.
As they get ready for Getafe on Sunday, the Madrid players would have had no trouble returning to Spain. Even if the bus driver is being slapped on the wrist, the European titans won't be concerned about the cost of the repairs.
