Mo Salah picks his best left-footed footballer
In a recent interview, Liverpool's living legend Mo Salah picked his best left-footed footballer. He started by picking Ryan Giggs over James Rodriguez. Salah picked Giggs on account of more longevity.
"I would pick Gigs for longevity," Salah said.
He again picked Giggs over Mahrez but then ultimately switched his favourite when Angel Di Maria's name popped up. Salah was stuck with the Argentine World Cup winner over legends Gareth Bale, Mesut Özil and Robben. Salah ultimately let go of Di Maria when he heard Griezmann. He then chose Rivaldo over Griezmann, Maradona over Rivaldo and Messi over Maradona. He ultimately chose Lionel Messi as the best left-footed player in the history of the sport. The choice comes as no surprise, as the Argentine World Cup-winning captain boasts eight Ballon d'Ors to his name.
Mohamed Salah has recently been honoured as the Football Writers' Association (FWA) Footballer of the Year. This accolade stands as a testament to his outstanding performance this season. Throughout the season, Salah has scored 33 goals and provided 23 assists across all competitions, with a tally of 28 goals in the Premier League alone. His contributions helped Liverpool secure their 20th Premier League crown.
