As Chelsea take on Shamrock Rovers in what seems to be a lopsided Europa Conference League match, all eyes are on London this Thursday night. Chelsea, led by Enzo Maresca, will be trying to wrap off their stellar group stage campaign, which has already seen them win 15 of 15 points. They would advance to the following round if they won again. But the Irish guests haven't been taken lightly. They have only allowed five goals in their past eight games, going undefeated.
Marc Guiu has scored a hat-trick as Chelsea has dominated Shamrock Rovers, scoring four goals in the first half. Despite dominating the first game against their Irish rivals, it took the Blues just over 20 minutes to get the breakthrough. Tyrique George and Christopher Nkunku have both looked menacing when in possession, giving the Blues the upper hand. Burns attempted to head a ball over the top after Renato Veiga played it, but he made a defensive blunder that cost them the game. Shamrock had played good defense in the first several minutes.

Guiu had the easy chore of shooting the ball into the empty net after it looped over Pohls, and it's doubtful that he will score many goals with this kind of ease in his career. Guiu adds another goal today to his two against Astana, giving him four goals in four Conference League games.
Chelsea leading before first half
The happiness Chelsea experienced was short-lived, as Markus Poom scored three minutes later after Shamrock's deflected shot had left Filip Jorgensen with little chance in the Chelsea goal. It's been a fierce match, and the Shamrock players have put in a lot of effort and made good use of their opportunities to advance in the first half.
It will be fascinating to watch how the Blues react to this new challenge for Chelsea, but you would still expect the Blues to have more than enough. Near the area, Noni Madueke gets the ball in the last few minutes of the first half. He sets up Marc Guiu with a lovely cross, and the striker climbs high to score a hat-trick in forty-five minutes, giving Chelsea their fourth goal against Shamrock Rovers today.
