Manchester United won their previous fixture against Newcastle United on Wednesday. The Red Devils have been performed poorly in the ongoing season sitting at the 8th in the league table. However Erik ten Hag side was back in winning ways after they defeated the Magpies 3-2 at Old Trafford. They are far from the European qualification race, the only chance the club has to qualify for the UEFA Europa League is win the FA Cup against Manchester City.

However the support of the fans does not diminish due to their poor results. A special fan from Mongolia named Ochirvaani "Ochiroo" Batbold travelled from his home country of Mongolia to embark on a 14,000km cycling journey to Manchester United's stadium, Old Trafford. The fan started following the club since 2010 and his first memory is the match versus Liverpool in September 2010, a game was memorable for Dimitar Berbatov's hat-trick in a 3-2 win against the Reds.

Batbold wrote a letter to the club, explaining, his journey from Mongolia to Old Trafford, due to the love for the club and also mentioned about his favourite United footballer as Wayne Rooney has always been his idol. He admires his unwavering work ethic, adaptability, and ability to rise to the occasion in crucial situations. The former club captain has been an inspiration for the fan.

A dream come true for United fan

The Mongolian wanted to become a professional footballer but he was scammed and lost a significant amount of money after being deceived by someone posing as a football agent. The letter in which all of the above things were mentioned, then the management decided to organise a very special surprise involving United legend Rooney. He thought that he was being invited for a visit to the club and was shocked Rooney appeared from behind to meet him in person.

The club also arranged for a ticket for Batbold for a game where he sat in the 'Director's Box' against Arsenal at Old Trafford and he met the club legends Gary Neville and Sir Alex Ferguson and took photographs along with club captain Bruno Fernandes. The inspiring journey has been a remarkable one and shows my love for football as well.
