After vandals broke into the Inter Miami superstar's £9.5 million luxury villa, Lionel Messi became the latest well-known victim to come under attack from climate change campaigners. On Tuesday, it is reported that members of the Futuro Vegetal organization broke into the Ibiza residence of the famous Argentine, hurling red and black paints onto the house's exterior.

Over the years, the former FC Barcelona and PSG player, his wife Antonela Roccuzzo, and their three kids have made many trips to the Baleric Island. In addition, Lionel Messi bought the opulent Hotel Es Vive, a 52-room establishment near the Figueretas beach, in 2018.

The Spanish Activists group also showed a poster which read 'Help the Planet - Eat the Rich - Abolish the Police'. They took full accountability for their actions as they raised their voice against the environmental crisis "that aggravate the climate crisis, as well as the unequal responsibility for it."

Bilbo Bassaterra, Futuro Vegetal spokesperson said that, "This is just another example of how the law does not work the same for everyone. This week on the island [of Ibiza], almost 200 workers were evicted from a settlement with no housing solution, while the Popular Party, hand in hand with Vox, is planning the legalisation of illegal buildings in exchange for payment."

Lionel Messi names the player who knows him inside out

Over the years, Lionel Messi has developed unique relationships with many of former colleagues, but the player himself claims that only one person knows him "to perfection." Messi's psychic buddy went to the DRV PNK Stadium with him last summer. The third FC Barcelona icon to sign with David Beckham's team in the previous window is Jordi Alba, with whom Messi has an unmatched bond.

When they were at their best at Barcelona, the two worked together horribly. Messi would frequently stray inside and detect any movement behind the right-back right away, connecting the pass with impeccable time and weight. Lionel Messi spoke to Catalunya radio and said that, "Jordi Alba knows me to perfection. He knows when I will give him a no-look pass. I have a special connection with him."
