Messi returned the hate to the rival fans with unique gesture

During the first half hour of the game, he faced some rough moments with taunts and boos from the Club America fans. However, in a show of resilience, Messi responded commendably by scoring a goal. After finding the back of the net, he pointed to his club crest and raised his hand with three fingers, celebrating the moment with pride.

He then made a gesture with his hand in the shape of a zero. This signified Argentina's impressive three World Cup victories, most recently in 2022 under Messi’s captaincy, and the 1986 tournament held in Mexico contrasting sharply with Mexico's tally of zero titles.

Messi is often recognized for his composed demeanour on the pitch, allowing his exceptional football skills to speak for themselves. However, Nowadays, he shows his sharp wit when it comes to engaging with rivals.

Recently, this gesture from Messi on social media caught the attention of fans, prompting reactions that suggested it had taunted the rival supporters.

Inter Miami secured victory with a penalty shootout win of 3-2 after the match ended 2-2 in regulation time.

In 2023, Messi switched to the David-Beckham-owned franchise on a free transfer following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain.

Since then he has amassed 34 goals and provided 18 assists in just 39 games, and lead the club to its first-ever trophy with a resounding triumph in the Leagues Cup in 2023.
