Philadelphia Union got the ball rolling with a goal in the 2nd minute by Mikael Uhre. The visiting was seen working up good tempo during the game as they began to attack the Inter Miami half on a more regular basis.

Five minutes before half hour mark, Luiz Suarez supplied a ball to Lionel Messi. The former FC Barcelona duo had worked the opposition into a corner ahead of the move taking place. All Messi had to do was slot the ball into the back of the net and the Argentine did that with a glee.

From there the Inter Miami side began flying as the midfield and the forward line began attacking. In the 30th minute yet another former Barcelona star did the trick. Jordi Alba went on a weaving run to leave the Union defenders dazed. Lionel Messi hit the ball into the net with his left foot to make it 2-1.

For the next one hour the match was evenly poised with tackles flying in from both teams. Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi, and Sergio Busquets were all given yellow cards. With the clock ticking down the pressure was high on Philadelphia to square the game. Luis Suarez though put the game beyond doubt as he slammed home the winner in the 98th minute of the game.
