Kylian Mbappe flaunted his knowledge of knowing more than one language as the striker did a small interview with the reporters ahead of his side’s game against Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal. He wished everyone gathered with a greeting in Italian and that may have surprised everyone.

The French striker is about to join reigning UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid. He might be learning a little bit of Spanish ahead of his big move. This interview might have highlighted his keenness to learn more and be prepared for the next challenge.

The France attacker Kylian Mbappe is gearing up to face the "legend" Cristiano Ronaldo at UEFA Euro 2024, and he views it as "an honour".  This Friday in Hamburg looks to be a memorable evening as it will be the first competitive match between two global football icons since the 2020 Euro group stages, when Ronaldo stole the show with a brace to force a thrilling 2-2 draw that tied the record for most goals scored by men for his country.

“We hope to win tomorrow and reach the semi-finals” : Kylian Mbappe

Mbappe has always looked up to Ronaldo, seeing the Portuguese powerhouse as a kind of deity. The two have a great deal of respect for one another, and the French striker disclosed that they often communicate with the older player and exchange tips.

He said, "It’s an honour. It’s the admiration I’ve always had for Cristiano, for the player. Over time, I’ve had the chance to get to know him and talk to him many times. We’re still in touch. He’s always trying to give me advice and keep up to date with what’s going on.”

The former PSG attacker added, “It’s a pleasure. Playing against him is an honour for everything he’s done in football. No matter what happened before or what happens after, he’ll always be a legend of the game. But of course we hope to win tomorrow and reach the semi-finals.”
