This weekend marked the start of the Paris Olympics 2024. Yuji Nishida of Japan honored Al-Nassr and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo with a "Suiii" celebration following a volleyball point. The celebration has, of course, been seen in many sports, but it is always associated with the former Manchester United and Real Madrid great.

While there is no denying Ronaldo's incredible influence, in recent months he has battled to live up according to his own expectations. Twice during the UEFA Euro 2024, he broke down in tears, once after Portugal's elimination by France and again after missing a penalty. With Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo is getting ready for the upcoming season. He hopes to win a trophy with the Saudi Pro League club and take the team to even more heights.

Has Cristiano Ronaldo ever participated at the Olympics?

The name Cristiano Ronaldo is synonymous with football brilliance, and he has accumulated more trophies than any other athlete. The five-time recipient of the Ballon d'Or has nearly won every major club and national trophy during his storied career, including English club titles, the Champions League, and the Euros.

Ronaldo is among the world's most accomplished athletes—his records speak for themselves. The Olympic gold medal, however, is the one trophy lacking from his cabinet amid the sparkling array of medals; this is a dream that the Portuguese star is unlikely to ever realize.

At the age of 19, Cristiano Ronaldo made his debut and only appearance in 2004. He had just begun his Manchester United career and had not yet established himself at the club or national levels. During the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, the number seven got the chance of a lifetime to make his global debut. He scored his first Olympic goal in a 2-1 victory over Morocco in just two games.

Portugal did not make it to the knockout stages and was eliminated from the competition at the last place in Group D, which also included Morocco, Costa Rica, and Iraq. Portugal was eliminated from the competition with their losses to Costa Rica and Iraq. He tried, but he was unable to get his name written down in history.
