A clip of Jack Grealish addressing Aston Villa supporters following their UEFA Champions League 1-0 defeat to Club Brugge has become viral on the internet. As the best European clubs adjusted to the revamped league format, the UEFA Champions League competition resumed this week during the fourth match day of the 2024 season.

The greatest surprises of the week occurred when Manchester City and Aston Villa both fell short of the top seven in the league after losing to Sporting CP and Club Brugge. But it did not deter City winger Grealish from having fun with Villa supporters, and fans are already discussing his future after a clip of his antics surfaced online.

Villa supporters partied in Belgium on Wednesday night despite their 1-0 loss to Club Brugge, and Grealish joined them via Facetime. Even though Grealish departed the team in 2021, the clip demonstrates how much Villa supporters still value the winger's contributions to the team throughout his tenure.

During the summer of 2021, Grealish left his childhood club, Villa, for a then-record-breaking £100 million. But with so many talented attackers at Pep Guardiola's disposal, the Englishman has found it difficult to establish a starting position, and as a result, he has only scored 14 goals in 135 games for City.

Jack Grealish gets called up to the England squad despite injury

A groin injury has kept Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish out of the team's last five games, and he was predicted to miss England's matches against Greece and the Republic of Ireland. However, Grealish was back in training this week, according to interim manager Lee Carsley, who wants him to play in what have turned into crucial matches for England.

Despite acknowledging that his 26-man team has "four or five" injury issues, Carsley is adamant that he would "not take any risks" on Grealish. However, City manager Pep Guardiola has already expressed his emotions when his squad members have suffered injuries while playing for their country, acknowledging that he has never been "so angry" as he was when John Stones suffered an injury during an international match last season.
