WATCH: Fresh fears for Manchester United fans after Leny Yoro is spotted in crutches

Manchester United team and fans have a huge reason to worry with the new season just over two weeks away. Young defender Leny Yoro was spotted getting into the team bus on crutches and his foot is supported by a brace. The 18-year-old who was signed from Lillee was injured during the pre-season game against Arsenal. 

Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund were injured during the game to hand a fresh blow to manager Erik Ten Hag. While the Danish striker is expected to be fit in time for the season opener, there are fears that Leny Yoro could be missing a few weeks or months on the sidelines.

Erik Ten Hag is set to speak to the media ahead of the game on Wednesday night against Real Betis. This will be followed by the game against Liverpool ahead of the huge community shield match versus Manchester City. The Red Devils will then begin their season with the game against Fulham at home on 16th August. 

Manchester United fans in anxious wait 

After the match against Arsenal, manager Erik Ten Hag was asked about the extent of injuries suffered by the two players. The Manchester United manager said, “We have to wait over 24 hours and then we know hopefully more. We were very careful, especially with Leny, he did only 50% of the sessions and it is very disappointing that he then has to come off but let's be positive and see what the outcome is."

Meanwhile, young sensation Chido Obi-Martin has signed for Manchester United after refusing a proposal from Arsenal. The 16-year-old was offered a lot of money but Obi-Martin decided to sign for the Red Devils. 

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romando wrote on his social media handle, "Chido Obi Martin to Man United, here we go! The talented striker leaves Arsenal and he’s just accepted Man Utd's proposal. Pathway key for Chido who’s turned down higher bids from Germany to sign for Man United. Project convinced 2007-born top talent to accept."

Manchester United have been busy in the transfer market with two signings already. Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro are expected to be joined by Manuel Ugarte and Noussair Mazaraoui. The Bayern Munich star is set to seal a move to reunite him Erik Ten Hag under whom he has played at Ajax FC. The two clubs are negotiating a final fee before he can complete his transfer. Aaron Wan Bissaka is also set for a move from Old Trafford with West Ham United as his likely destination.
