In a match that saw three missed penalties, goals from Albert Gudmundsson and Yacine Adli sealed the points for the home team, while David de Gea twice saved penalty kicks. AC Milan’s poor run of form continued as they got defeated by Fiorentina 2-1. Both goalkeepers Mike Maignan and David De Gea made incredible penalty saves in a thrilling match full of close calls and anxious moments. De Gea stopped Tammy Abraham and Theo Hernandez's spot kicks, and Maignan stopped Moise Kean.
Fiorentina is in 11th place on 10 points following two victories and a draw in their previous three league games, while AC Milan is in sixth spot with 11 points going into the international break, five points behind leader Napoli.
After twenty-two minutes, the drama started when Kean, the striker for Fiore, had a miserable night when Frenchman Maignan stopped his penalty, which had been awarded because Hernandez had fouled Dodo. Kean did manage to hit the back of the goal a few minutes later, but his attempt was rejected because he was obviously offside.
Ten minutes before the break, Adli broke the scoreless draw with a low effort from the outer edge of the penalty area that deflected off the post. However, out of gratitude for his parent club, the AC Milan midfielder, who is now on loan, chose not to celebrate the goal.
David De Gea has now faced 3 Penalties as a Fiorentina player, he saved it all.

David de Gea’s rescue mission for Fiorentina
Kean's bad night went on after the break when he had an additional effort ruled offside before De Gea held out Abraham's penalty nine minutes through the second half by making an outstanding diving save shortly after Kean fouled Matteo Gabbia. It marked the first time two penalties were successfully saved by one goalkeeper during a Serie clash since May 2016.
AC Milan earned a penalty themselves shortly prior to the break when Tijjani Reijnders got fouled by defender Luca Ranieri. However, Theo Hernandez's attempt was stopped by the Spanish goalkeeper with a spectacular one-handed save in the bottom corner. Christian Pulisic's exquisite volley off a cross gave Milan their first goal just minutes in advance of Gudmundsson's goal in the 73rd minute to put Fiorentina back ahead.
