Spanish star Dani Olmo took part in his first training session on Saturday morning with FC Barcelona. The Spanish sensation signed with the Catalan side for 60 million and was seen going through the paces.

Dani Olmo has been one of the most sought-after stars after his tremendous performances during EURO 2024. As soon as he entered the field Dani Olmo could be seen speaking to the FC Barcelona coaches and trainers.

The club took to their Instagram account and posted a short clip of Dani Olmo doing a few stretching exercises. Few FC Barcelona players could be seen Dani Olmo get into the groove.

Massive coup for FC Barcelona ahead of new season

On Friday it was confirmed that FC Barcelona had agreed on a deal with RB Leipzig to complete the transfer for Dani Olmo. The deal is worth 60 Million dollars with 7 million added as performance-related bonuses.

Once the deal was confirmed Dani Olmo spoke to the media and said “I very much want to get started. These days have been intense, but everything happened so fast and I will forever be grateful to Leipzig. We're giving it everything we've got in this new stage."

It is learned that Deco had travelled to Leipzig to seal the deal to bring Dani Olmo to Camp Nou. Once the deal was done, Dani Olmo thanked RB Leipzig and wrote “A young club, a young player ... We grew up, won our first trophies and made history together, Two Cups and the Super Cup are just some of the many unforgettable moments that'll always stay with me. Thank you, RB Leipzig, you'll forever be in my heart."

It is to be noted that Dani Olmo joined the youth ranks of FC Barcelona as a nine-year-old in 2007. He stayed at the club for the next 7 years before moving to Dinamo Zagreb where he played 25 games for their B team.

Once he made his move to the senior team he played 80 games across 7 seasons and scored 20 goals. This was followed by a move to RB Leipzig where Dani Olmo played 107 matches and scored 17 goals.
