One of the football clubs in the Norwegian top flight, Bryne FK, has a unique tradition when it comes to rewarding the best player of a match. It once again drew attention by rewarding a footballer with a lamb in one of the recent fixtures.
Bryne FK awarded footballer Alex Kryger with a lamb on being adjusted man of the match in a recent home fixture. The lamb was awarded moments after the final whistle.

Bryne FK awards 'Lamb' to Player of the Match
Norwegian top division football club, Bryne FK, which is the hometown club of Premier League star striker Erling Haaland has a unique way of awarding the best player of a match.
The typical prize highlights the club’s deep connections to the local farming community, primarily centred around meat and dairy production. Bryne FK’s supporters take pride in their agricultural heritage, often expressing it through chants. Additionally, fans also get a chance to watch matches from a tractor beside the pitch.
Brynke FK defeated Haugesund 2-1 in a recent fixture. At the end of the fixture, Alex Kryger, who was one of the goal scorers, received his Man of the Match award. He was given a lamb by the match officials as his prize. Kryger appeared surprised and amused the moment he received the award. The final prize would be awarded to the Bryne player in the autumn after the lamb is butchered and processed.
