WATCH: Brazilian wonderkid Savio picks his 'GOAT' rejects out own teammates

Savio has been in the headlines of Spanish football as the Brazilian wonderkid showing an excellent display of football in the 2023/24 La Liga season for Girona. After a breakout season for Girona FC, he has decided to join the reigning Premier League champions Manchester City for the upcoming season. As the La Liga club is a part of the City Football Group there will not be any kind of transfer fees included in the exchange of the footballer. 

The 20-year-old footballer made his debut for the Selecaos senior team back in March and he has also been named in the 26-man squad for the forthcoming Copa America 2024. Ahead of the quadrennial tournament, the footballer was caught giving out the interview to GOAL where he was given options to pick either of the two footballers and he was questioned about who is the best footballer of all time. 

The wonder boy picked Lionel Messi as the 'GOAT'. He believes the Argentine playmaker is the best footballer he has seen in his life. Savio will look to continue with his red-hot form of the season as he scored 11 goals and has 10 assists to his name in 41 games across all competitions for the Spanish side.

Where will Savio play if he joins Man City?

City are in desperate need of a winger as they didn't have an out-an-out winger on their side since they released Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling. He's a game-changing one-on-one player. Savio is ranked 87th in successful take-ons and 89th in advanced carries among all attacking midfielders and wingers in football. He has four appearances for Brazil as of now and the majority of it has come from the bench. 

His favourite footballer will also be featuring in the Copa America that is scheduled to take place in the USA from 21st of June. This might be the last tournament for the Argentina star as he will be turning 37 in a few days and by the time the next tournament comes, he might not be as good to compete against the best of the world.
