Angel Di Maria is one of the most underrated footballers of this era. The former Manchester United winger has been one of the stars for the nation and the clubs in the big games, especially in the final. He has always performed in clutch matches whether scoring goals or assisting the Argentine has done it all whenever he has played in the final. He is currently participating in the Copa America 2024 for La Albiceleste.

He started the first game against Canada and played an amazing game till the time he was there on the pitch. The SL Benfica captain could have etched his name in the scorebook but failed to score in a 1v1 situation with the Canada goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau, despite snatching the ball and running almost 40 yards.

The winger did not start the game against Chile due to a tactical decision by Lionel Scaloni as he wanted to rest the footballer. However, he came in the second half and almost assisted the second goal for the side but Lautaro Martinez failed to parry a simple tap-in. Amidst all these, the 36-year-old footballer announced that he would be retiring from international football once again after the win against Chile.

Di Maria while speaking with Sofi Martinez said, “I also suffer, I know that there is less and less left. I hope, God willing, he helps me once again and there are 4 games left. It's the only thing I want right now. It's football. I'm enjoying every workout, I try to laugh all the time more than I normally do. “I enjoy my colleagues, which is the nicest thing I have.”

The former PSG winger has scored in each of the finals he has played for the three-time world champions. Starting from the Olympics in 2008, the 2021 Copa America, the 2022 Finalissima, and the 2022 FIFA World Cup final as well.
