WATCH: Argentina team chants 'Winning another Copa...' while returning in bus

Argentina are the defending Champions of Copa America. La Albiceleste for recent years has been amazing as they are the No.1 side ranked in FIFA. Lionel Messi has been the heartthrob of the country, the Argentine captain has won every possible trophy with the country and he is looking to end his career on high by winning the tournament in the USA. Leo has scored 12 goals and assisted 13 times in 12 games, thus age has not been a problem. A strong candidate for the MVP award.

Ahead of the tournament, the team was spotted travelling together after practice and they were caught singing on the bus. They were chanting "Winning another Copa with Leo Messi is all I hope for." They will face a difficult battle in defending the trophy. No one knows whether the Copa America will be Messi's final performance or if he needs to compete in the 2026 World Cup. 

Argentina is the favourite to win the Copa America 2024. He believes other teams from the continent are on the rise, and an upset cannot be ruled out in the event, which will take place in the United States. The tournament is scheduled to take place from the 21st of June where the reigning champions will face Canada in the first game.

Messi believes Argentina are favourites to win Copa America

The 36-year-old will be soon turning a year older in the upcoming days. He previously said, "I believe that Argentina is always favourites, regardless of the fact that we’ve recently won all those titles. Previously, even when we couldn’t achieve our objectives, Argentina were still always favourites." 

"When a tournament begins, whether it’s the World Cup or the Copa América, Argentina are a contender just like Brazil. Nowadays, South American teams are very strong. Uruguay are doing very well, as are Colombia and Ecuador. It becomes very difficult to play all the matches. I think it’s going to be a very balanced Copa America."
