Tottenham Hotspur lost to Manchester City at home on Tuesday. This was their first loss after 2018 at home against the reigning champions. Spurs started the game well, but they failed to capitalise on their chances with Son Heung-min missing one of the easiest chances of the match after the South Korean winger failed to score against Stefan Ortega after being 1 on 1 with the keeper. The loss on Tuesday meant the home side went out of qualification for the UEFA Champions League group stage.
Ange Postecoulou was furious after his players could not capitalise on the chances and during the game he had a heated exchange with the fans after he saw that a Spurs fan was cheering for the visitors he was furious looking on the same and went on to say some words to the fan, with the video of which has been viral on social media.
The Australian manager has questioned the mentality shift if they are to close the gap between themselves and the best team in England. With the North London rivalry against Arsenal who are also in the title race alongside the Sky Blues has created problems for him as a manager. The rage comes after some Spurs fans openly said they hoped their team lost to prevent Arsenal from claiming the first title in two decades.

Ange Postecoglou to leave Spurs?
For almost more than two decades Tottenham has not won a trophy. The North London side despite starting well in the season could not hold on to the performance and dropped to fifth position losing the UCL spot as well. They will be playing in the UEFA Europa League in the 2024/25 season. The 58-year-old said, "The last 48 hours have revealed that the foundations are fairly fragile. It just means I've got to go back to the drawing board with some things. It’s outside (the club), inside, everywhere. It's been an interesting exercise."
The management has been trying their best to win trophies and bring in the best managers from Europe, but none of them has succeded at the club as previously Antonio Conte was also blasted for not performing under pressure and that has been the story for the club over the years.
