It is officially the beginning of the English Football season as Manchester United get ready to take on Manchester City in the FA Community Shield. Erik Ten Hag and his side are the current FA Cup winners having beaten arch-rivals Manchester City with a 2-1 margin in the finals.
Manchester City on the other hand have won the English Premier League four years in a row. Pep Guardiola and his men won the title despite staunch resistance from Arsenal to nick yet another title in their favour.
Ahead of the game, both sides are facing lots of injury issues. Manchester United in particular have been laid low due to the plethora of setbacks they suffered during their pre-season tour of the United States of America.
Here are the players confirmed to miss the FA Community Shield

Aaron Wan- Bissaka – Right back slot could see Diogo Dalot as Aaron Wan Bissaka also had picked up a knock. The former Crystal Palace man is in the news with a potential move to West Ham United in the next few weeks. This could be a precaution to allow the right-back to have his medicals.
Manchester City
Rodri – The Spanish star has been given an extended break by Pep Guardiola to come back fresh. Rodri played a key role in Spain winning the EURO 2024 by beating England in the finals.
