Barcelona have started a new era under new manager Hansi Flick ahead of the new season. During the pre-season tour, Barcelona are in decent form. During the last season when Xavi was manager of Barcelona, the club couldn’t win any title and finished second in La Liga but qualified for the UFA Champions League.

Ahead of the new season Barcelona under Hansi Flick will try to change their playstyle and will be hungry for more titles. As the new season starts Hansi Flick will be targeting two main titles, one La Liga and another one will be UEFA Champions League. Though he won the UEFA Champions League title with Bayern Munich in his first season he will try to do the same with Barcelona.

However, he has got a bunch of good players who can give them all to win titles and bring back glory to Barcelona. Hence on that note, we take a look at the top 5 players who can help Barcelona win the UEFA Champions League this year.

Here are five players who can help Barcelona to return at UEFA Champions League level:

5. Marc Andre Ter Stegen

4 Marc

After Lionel Messi left Barcelona Marc Andre Ter Stegen is the key player of the club. Since joining Barcelona in 2014 the German goalkeeper has played 413 games and has 174 clean sheets. He has also worked with Hansi Flick when he was German head coach. If Barcelona aims to win the UEFA Champions League Hansi Flick needs Marc Andre Ter Stegen to be on top form throughout the campaign.

4. Lamine Yamal:

Lamine Yamal was the star boy for Spain in EURO 2024 and will be getting ready for the new season along with the new manager of Barcelona. During the EURO 2024 with Spain, he won the title and was awarded with Best Young Player of the Tournament. During their last season with Barcelona, he became the youngest goal scorer in La Liga. His age was 16 at that time. Ahead of the new season he is now 17 and will unlock more skills as he gets experience. Hansi Flick will use his all potential as the target is winning major titles with the club.

3. Alejandro Balde:

During Hasni Flick's time with Bayern Munich, he won each title with the club and his main player for Alphonso Davies a left-back. He transformed Alphonso Davies and changed his playing style. With Barcelona, he can do the same thing as Alejandro Balde a young left-back who has a lot of potential. He can be an x-factor for Barcelona in the Champions League campaign.

2. Dani Olmo:

The newest signing Dani Olmo adds more power to the attacking midfield of Barcelona. His instincts in front of the goal are, to say the least, unique. It remains to be seen where Flick fits the newcomer into his lineup, although early indications point to the left flank as his specialization. In any event, the Euro 2024 top scorer is an important player, and the management hopes he performs well in the UEFA Champions League.

1. Pedri:

Since 2019 Pedri has been a rising star for Spain and Barcelona. But in recent times due to injuries he has struggled to play and was able to play for a limited time. So far Pedri has played 143 matches and scored 20 goals across all tournaments for Barcelona. Under new manager Hansi Flick he will be a key player in providing accurate passes to strikers. For the upcoming season, Pedri must be fit throughout the season and help Barcelona to win the titles.
