Bayern Munich have lost their first Bundesliga match in 11 years. The Bavarians did not have the best of times in the domestic league, facing a star-studded performance from Bayer Leverkusen who broke the streak. Leverkusen is yet to lose a game this season. However, Munich has been inconsistent in form throughout the season. The German side is currently competing in the UEFA Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid, with the first leg ending in a 2-2 draw, leaving everything to play for in the second leg.

The management sacked Julian Nagelsmann in the middle of the season and appointed Thomas Tuchel as their new head coach. The former Chelsea coach couldn't bring the side onto the right track and might also be leaving the club at the end of the season. According to the latest developments, the club is already searching for a replacement for the upcoming season.

Since joining the side, Tuchel has been in charge of 58 games for the club, winning 36 and losing 14 games with a 2 PPM. The 50-year-old coach has been good, but the management wants a change. Names like Roberto de Zerbi and Ralf Rangnick, as well as Nagelsmann, were considered, but the latter two rejected the offers from the club.

Tuchel unhappy with Bayern management

The chairman, Herbert Hainer, has given his verdict on the Bavarians potentially extending the head coach's contract. Hainer is determined that the agreement to terminate Tuchel's contract this summer will not be changed. Therefore, the management has been in search of their new coach. With the transfer window set to open in June, it will be interesting to see who joins at the Allianz Arena.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach has now opened up about the ongoing talks. He said, "Since we agreed to part ways, Bayern has been looking intensively for a new coach - I'm guessing even before our conversation. That's bad motivation to then say: ah, let's do it again with you. Nah. From my point of view, that's clear."
