Real Madrid's footballer Federico Valverde's wife, Mina Bonino, allegedly took a dig at gaffer Carlo Ancelotti following the team's humiliating 3-1 defeat to AC Milan on Tuesday, in the Champions League. Valverde started the match in a makeshift right-wing role but was substituted at halftime for Eduardo Camavinga.
Real Madrid's humiliating performance
Real Madrid found themselves trailing for the second time when Alvaro Morata scored just six minutes before halftime. Federico Valverde faced challenges during the match, losing two out of three duels, which likely contributed to a difficult performance. As a result, Ancelotti opted to make some changes at the start of the second half.
Despite the tries, the Rossoneri extended their lead by scoring their third goal through Tijjani Reijnders in the 73rd minute. Valverde's wife, Mina Bonino, expressed her concerns regarding the decision to position the Uruguayan on the wings, expressing the need for a more effective system that plays to his strengths.
The match took a turn for the worse when Malick Thiaw put AC Milan ahead in the 12th minute at the Santiago Bernabeu. Despite this setback, Vinicius Jr. managed to win a penalty and brought the La Liga giants level during the 23rd minute.
Bonino's controversial tweet by a hacker
Recently, Bonino highlighted her husband's position on the field, reminding fans that he plays as a midfielder rather than a winger on her X.
"Fede plays best as a pivot. When are they going to understand that he is not a winger?" Bonino wrote on X. "It's better that I keep quiet because they would take me to jail," Tweet added.
Valverde has contributed to Real Madrid greatly this season, appearing 16 times in various competitions and achieving three goals and two assists.
Valverde's wife later revealed that her X was hacked and the controversial tweets were not made by her, but by the hacker who was in control of her X handle.
