The UEFA Champions League 2023/24 just ended on Saturday, as Real Madrid secured their 15th UCL trophy after they edged past Borussia Dortmund in the ultimate game of the marquee European competition. The game on the weekend saw two of the greatest footballers Marco Reus and Toni Kroos leave their clubs, with the latter already announced his retirement at the age of 34 and will be seen playing in the UEFA Euro 2024 for Germany for one final time.

This was the last format of the older version of the tournament as from the next season there will be a newer format where 36 teams will be participating instead of 32 and the top 8 will earn direct qualification to the knockout rounds and from 9-24 they will play each other to qualify for the knockouts and the club below that will not be demoted to UEFA Europa League as they will be eliminated.

However, there has been a shocking turn of events as the game was disrupted after Mellstroy, a Belarusian Kick streamer, allegedly planned the pitch invasion. The event, which occurred only 30 seconds into the match at Wembley Stadium, has gained significant outrage and resulted in Mellstroy's suspension from the Kick platform.

Will Kick take any action against 'MELLSTROY'?

A group of fans wearing white t-shirts with the word 'MELLSTROY' on the front stormed the European stage, with the celebrity apparently offering $350,000 for the first person to step onto the Wembley pitch. He has gained notoriety for his provocative and sometimes violent streaming content. Despite the outrage and the turmoil, the Youtuber has not yet responded to the incident, although he did retweet a photo of a fan with Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr

The 25-year-old streamer has three million followers on Instagram and 1.8 million followers on TikTok. He started streaming back in 2015, playing Minecraft, CS:GO, Dota 2, and other popular games on YouTube. With the situation still to be investigated, the streaming and sporting communities will be watching closely to see how platforms like Kick respond to such actions.
