Brighton & Hove Albion have been one of the underrated sides in the English Premier League. The Seagulls in the 2022/23 season have performed well as they finished sixth in the league table qualifying for the UEFA Europa League. They topped the group stage in the tournament this season but lost to AS Roma in the RO16. In the recently ended season, they were in the 10th place of EPL, and will not be participating in any of the European competition next season.

Brighton lost their last game against Manchester United at home. Ahead of the final game manager Roberto de Zerbi already announced that he would leave the club at the end of the season as the owner Tony Bloom confirmed that the parting of ways was a mutual one with the Italian head coach. He had a breakout season in 2022 bringing up some raw talents in the English circuit.

The 44-year-old has received a lot of support and praise for a distinctive style of possession football, while also nurturing young talents who were able to prosper in his system despite the club losing key players to big teams in the PL. Out of 88 games he has won 38 drawn 20 and lost 30 games, with points per match being 1.52.

Will Roberto de Zerbi sign with Bayern Munich?

Many big clubs have contacted the coach to sign a contract, for the club, Bayern Munich and Manchester United have been on the list to sign the Italian mastermind for the upcoming season. Amidst all the rumours the manager has dropped his comments on where will he be next. He said, "I don't know... for sure if I have to stay at home, for three, four, five months, for me, it should be no problem. This is because I will work, studying different games, teams and coaches."

The Seagulls are targeting Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna, the former Manchester United youth coach has been brilliant as he helped the club to qualify for the EPL next season by finishing second in the EFL championship. He has been the favourite candidate to be in the hot seat of American Express Stadium.
