Manchester United will face Chelsea on Thursday at the Stamford Bridge. The Red Devils are currently 6th in the points table and United are chasing Tottenham and Aston Villa for the UEFA Champions League race, both teams are more than 8 points ahead with one game in hand for the Red Devils. Man U have a good record against the Blues as they are undefeated in the last 12 games against them.

Marcus Rashford who was the star for United last season has been silent this season. The winger has been inconsistent about scoring goals in the ongoing season. However he scored the winning goal in the extra time of the FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool, but he has scored just eight goals in 36 appearances for United so far this season. The English forward has faced several criticism off the field. As per the reports, the winger missed the training while he was partying at a nightclub in Belfast.

The 26-year-old footballer has been benched in the crucial game against Chelsea with Antony starting ahead of him. This shows how miserably he has performed this season, from being a starter in every game last season and scoring clutch goals his form has dropped down since then.

Is Rio Ferdinand not happy with Rashford's performance?

Erik ten Hag was not happy with Rashford going to a party as he felt it was 'unacceptable' to spend a night at the club after October's 3-0 derby defeat against Manchester City. The discipline of the winger has been called into question since then and the fans were also not happy with his performance.

Former Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand has opened up about the star winger and feels that he should immediately leave the club for his betterment and save his career as well. Rio also believes that with Euros 2024 around the corner his place in the England national team will also be a question. On the other hand, another United legend Roy Keane believes that an old-fashioned way of football might help Rashford to find back his form and score some more goals.
