Young Italian star Riccardo Calafiori is one step away from becoming a new Arsenal player ahead of the new season. According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have agreed terms with the youngster after he rebuked a move to Chelsea.

The move will greatly benefit Arsenal as they look for the missing link to the jigsaw puzzle to win them the title. The Gunners had fallen short of the Premier League title last year after they ran eventual champions Manchester City close.

It was earlier believed that Riccardo Calafiori was closer to a move to Chelsea. This didn’t happen because Mikel Arteta spoke to the young Italian and changed his mind at the last moment.

According to reports, Arsenal will pay a substantial sum of money to get him to the Emirates Stadium. It is believed Edu who is the sporting director with the Gunners is set to finalize the last few deals left in the contract.

Giovanni Sartori who happens the sporting director at Bolonga while addressing the media said, “There is talk of Juventus but also of many other teams. At this moment we will try to keep him. If important requests were to arrive we will have to think about it.”

Sartori also said, “I am not saying that we will sell him because the president has said that he wants to keep the whole team, but we will certainly make some evaluations. I do not think he will go to Juventus, maybe to a different market, but I repeat that we would like to try to keep him."

If the deal goes through this will be one of the most high-profile exits for Bolonga who are set to lose Joshua Zirkzee. The Dutch striker is on the cusp of moving to England and joining with Manchester United. It has come to light that the Red Devils have agreed to pay the release clause for the 23-year-old.

The Dutch star has already rejected moves to AC Milan and Arsenal after being excited about the new project at Manchester United. The likes of Matthijs De Ligt and Manuel Ugarte are the other players who are linked with Manchester United.
