Reports: Kingsley Coman injured during his rehab, likely to miss Euro 2024?

Bayern Munich have lost the Bundesliga after 11 years, as the Bavarians finished third in the league after losing their last game against TSG Hoffenheim 4-2. Thomas Tuchel's side has gone trophyless for the first time since 2012, the German coach is set to leave the club after the end of the season, despite the management trying to keep him. Kingsley Coman who never lost a trophy in his entire career so far, with his streak also ended. 

The French footballer has won trophies every season he has been a part of the season, but in the 2023/24 season, he failed to continue his streak of winning it. The winger sustained a right adductor injury during Bayern's 2-0 Bundesliga win over Cologne on 14th April and since then he has been rehabbing to make a comeback to the club and the national side.

Ahead of the Euro 2024 the 27-year-old footballer has yet again injured himself while training. As per the report by BILD, he picked a left knee injury while doing rehabilitation training on Monday morning. There is still uncertainty about whether the footballer will be able to participate in the upcoming marquee national tournament for France.

Will Coman miss Euro 2024?

As the report suggests, Coman collapsed to the ground after a series of dribbling, holding his left knee in pain. He was seen leaving the pitch in tears. Reports that initial checks revealed no major knee injuries, and Coman limped off the field without assistance. However, that Coman had a ligament injury in his left knee at the start of the year, which sidelined him for two months. A similar injury would keep him out of the Euros. Additional tests are expected to show the seriousness of footballers' most recent setback.

The French footballer was a key part of the FIFA World Cup 2022 squad that lost to Argentina in penalties, he missed one in the shootout as well. However he will be a crucial part of the squad in the Euro and if he makes it to the group stages, he would like to win the trophy for the nation.
