Lionel Messi is one of the greatest footballers of all time. The Argentine captain has won every possible trophy in his footballing career so far. The former FC Barcelona forward won the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar and completed his final peak of winning the greatest footballing trophy. He currently plays in Major League Soccer (MLS) for Inter Miami and has created a fan base there with his dancing feet and skills. He also had an intense rivalry with Cristiano Ronaldo during their days in European football.

The debate was among the fans, footballing pundits, and footballers as well. As for who is the Greatest Player of All Time (GOAT), some prefer Ronaldo as the best while some to Messi, however, the rivalry has not created a rift between the two footballers as they mutually respect each other on and off the field. The two footballers have passed their prime but they do not stay away from scoring goals and helping their team to win games.

As the never-ending debate continues two Real Madrid footballers Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham both ended the debate after they selected their GOAT. The footballers choose Messi as the greatest ahead of Ronaldo. They both selected the Argentine ahead of their club legend.

Camavinga and Bellingham choose Messi as GOAT

Camavinga stated that LM 10 is the best player he faced as "he is someone who doesn't run a lot but when he touches the ball you feel that his level is very high." Previously Bellingham along with his England teammates quickly moved to their right side to choose Messi. Bellingham took a little bit of time, but then he made his decision as the Argentine as the GOAT.

The 36-year-old footballer has scored 727 club goals in 896 games with 347 assists to his name. The forward has 8 Ballon d'Or's to his name more than any other player. The one trophy that was missing was the World Cup which also he achieved in Qatar and became the player of the tournament for the second time in history.
