The former Spurs player has boldly said something. Rafael van der Vaart, a former midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur and the Netherlands, has reaffirmed his belief that Ryan Gravenberch of Liverpool has the potential to surpass Jude Bellingham of England and Real Madrid.
Since joining Real Madrid in July 2023, 21-year-old Bellingham has scored 23 goals and provided 14 assists in 44 appearances, making him one of the most gifted football players in the world. Although there aren't many players who might surpass Bellingham, Van der Vaart thinks his countryman Gravenberch represents one of them.
The 22-year-old Gravenberch has advanced significantly under Arne Slot and performed well for the Netherlands towards their most recent Nations League matches. Additionally, Van der Vaart told BetMGM that Bellingham might not be the first player to surpass the former Bayern Munich midfielder.
Rafael van der Vaart said, “I took quite a lot of stick when I said Ryan Gravenberch has the potential to be better than Jude Bellingham a year or so ago, but I stand by it. I’ve always said the sky's the limit for him if he can use his full potential and ability, so I’m not surprised by how good he’s been this season both for Liverpool and the Netherlands. He’s strong, quick and intelligent – Liverpool fans should be very excited about what’s to come.”
“We are almost in December” : Mohamed Salah
Due to the ambiguity surrounding his Liverpool deal, Saudi teams are not aggressively pursuing Mohamed Salah. Salah's contract dispute has grabbed center stage in the world of soccer amid the festivities around his spectacular comeback versus Southampton on Sunday and the build-up to a crucial Champions League encounter against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
The Egyptian attacker, whose contract is up towards the conclusion of the season, was blunt about his predicament and disclosed that the club had not made any bids. He said, "Well, we are almost in December and I haven't received any offers yet to stay in the club, [so] I'm probably more out than in."
