According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Paris Saint-Germain has made a decisive bid of €100 million (£85 million/$109 million) to test Napoli's determination, since the Serie A club is unwilling to part ways with their star player. PSG sees Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as a perfect candidate to improve their attacking capabilities, notably during the UEFA Champions League, where Napoli will not compete next season.

The Parisian club hopes to take advantage of this opportunity to sign Kvaratskhelia, guaranteeing him an opportunity for future growth and success. Additionally, Kvaratskhelia and his dad, Badri, did not express any desire to leave Napoli. They believe that another campaign with the club will benefit his growth, allowing him to acquire more consistency and potentially increase his market value.

Nonetheless, the final choice lies with Napoli's president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, who is currently in negotiations with Kvaratskhelia's agent, Mamuka Jugeli, about renewing his contract. But the parties are right now at odds, with Napoli proposing a deal approximately €4 million with bonuses and Kvaratskhelia's camp wanting a basic salary of at least €5.

Can PSG sign the Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli?

De Laurentiis has no choice but to retain Kvaratskhelia and is apparently considering an interim deal that recognises the player's burgeoning star while safeguarding the club's interests. This tactic might include a contract renewal with a release provision, similar to the agreement reached with attacker Victor Osimhen. De Laurentiis believes Kvaratskhelia is worth at least €150 million, a number that even financially strong clubs like PSG may find frightening.

The coming weeks are going to be critical as all sides strive for a resolution prior to the European Championship. PSG's ambitious approach underlines their intention of regaining strength and fight at their best, while Napoli must balance monetary benefits with the desire to keep quality talent. Napoli had a disastrous campaign but are likely to hold on to their key players ahead of next season.
