AC Milan have had a decent season as they lost their title to their arch rivals Inter Milan who won the Serie A title for the 20th time. The Milan management has already decided to sack their present coach Stefano Pioli. He confirmed that he still does not know if he will remain in the role for next season. After the loss against AS Roma in the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals led to the specualtions of a possible change.

Napoli is another side that have been performed shockingly after they won the title in the previous season they are ninth in the league table and have had a dismal performance in the league. Since Luciano Spalletti left the club after winning the league and after that they not got back on track. They are also in search for a new coach, both Milan and Napoli have enquired about the same coach to sign for their side.

Antonio Conte is in the list for both clubs as they battle in between to gain the service of the former Inter Milan manager. Having prior experience coaching in Italy he would like to be back. Previously it was reported that Conte will soon have a meeting with Napoli CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis about a move to the Partenopei. But as per the recent developments the 54-year-old has lowered his wage demands and Milan are also ready to meet the former Chelsea coach again.

AC Milan finds new option with Conte linked heavily with rival club

Milan's meeting might take place in couple of days, and the manager's representatives are already in Italy to discuss his future. Having said that, the Italian's present goal is Napoli, where he has a good relationship with De Laurentiis and has been forcing for his signing for some time. With the transfer window yet to open it will be an interesting fight between the two clubs.

However there are other names in the list for Milan if they do not get Conte, they are hoping for Bologna boss Thiago Motta for an allternative option as the former Paris Saint-Germain footballer made history with the club by securing a place in the UCL group stage for next season.
